Sedona had a really good day. She was eager and anxious for the hike, and was raring to go when we met up with everyone. We heard gunshots, and she was unconcerned. She was unfazed at a minor altercation between two other dogs, and greeted new strangers like friends. She has improved so much! These types of days are becoming the norm, at least on Sunday.
No pics, but a couple of vids... After the hike we celebrated November birthday dogs, and Sedona was able to socialize. First is with Sara, who has a highly reactive Pit Bull and really likes Sedona and her success story, and the next is with Tobias, with whom Sedona has had only one other previous contact.

I love reading about Sedona's progress and am so moved by every single photo and video you post of her living the life of a "normal" dog. And I don't use that term as a value judgment, which I know you understand Dave. It's so awesome to see her getting over her fear and anxiety and just enjoying interacting with the world around her.

Thanks! It isn't all a bed of roses, though. Two steps forward, one step back as they say. For weeks now she has not wanted to go outside at all, and each potty trip is an exercise in frustration. No zoomies to speak of, and I can not for the life of me figure out why. She may be feeding off my energy, which, to be truthful, hasn't been exactly positive. Sandy took a lot out of me, and I'm still trying to recover. She's a very complex dog, and every day is like solving a puzzle. I bet Dharma is pretty much the same.
