We brought little Matilda into our home a week ago. She was a rescue and she might have a little extra in her, so I hope it's ok if I post here. I work part time in pet stores demoing products. The store I mainly work at has a rescue my boyfriend and I foster for a lot and know me well. This past October, I had to put my beloved 13 year old Akita, Lucy, down after a long fight with bladder cancer. I was devastated and I have another dog at home who has gone through behavioral therapy with a veterinary behaviorist/trainer husband wife team down here because of separation anxiety. His anxiety came back when he realized Lucy wasn't coming home. I was at work and it was slow and the rescue was short handed. A man had shown up and explained he had taken Matilda from a man here who wanted to fight her and breed more fighting dogs from her, but he didn't know his lease had an anti Pit Bull clause. A store employee was holding her, but had to go back to work and handed her to me. Poor girl was skin and bones and shaking like a leaf. Then she wrapped her paws around my neck and just started kissing me. I brought her home the next day. She's VERY smart and a little goof ball and she and George, my other dog, love to play together

Oh my! What a sweety.
Love those little eyebrows she has going on.
Welcome to the forum!
No worries about her not being full APBT, I have a pit-mix as well.
