So a friend of mine told me that a relative of hers bought a pit bull puppy and that her relative (Whose name is Pat) threw the dog outside tied to a plastice dog house because the pup chewed up a pair of heels. Pat wanted the dog gone asap and wanted nothing to do with it.
I got into contact with Pat who informed me that the pup is actually a SBT, she is a 14 week old pup. She then sent me pics and she is the CUTEST thing ever.
I am in Iowa and at night, it gets to be -10. Death for a 14 week old pup with NOTHING keeping it warm.
This was New Years Eve I found out about this, while I was talking to Pat, the pup was outside in the cold and had been all day.
I immediately reached out to everyone and anyone I knew that could possibly take a dog in (With us leaving in 1 day to Cali, I didnt know what to do) In the end I friend of mine who lost her Boxer awhile back told me she would love to give this girl a home!
So I then got ahold of Pat again so I could go pick up the pup. Pat told me she was at the bar celebrating New Years so I asked if I could just swing by her house and pick up the puppy. She informed me that she moved the dog in the garage because it was barking outside. So, she said shed be home at 10 and I could get the dog then. So at 9:15 ish Kris, the kids, and I set out to Mason City Which is a town about 45 minutes away from here. 10 came and passed. We waited in Mason for an hour and heard nothing.
Finally THE NEXT day around noon she calls me and informs me that she decided to bring the puppy back in the house because she thinks that she "learned her lesson" and wont chew anymore.
So, today (Shes only had the dog in the house again for 1 day) she calls me and says she will give me the dog for $80 (The cost of the heels the dog wrecked). Of course Im like $80 thats nothing to save this little thing... But then I started thinking. Willl she turn around and get another dog with this money??? :-[
Nothing like being in a rock and a hard place. I have a wonderful home that is all ready and waiting for her....
What do I do?!?!?!
