I wanted to share a little insight i had this morning. I often take a few minutes in the morning to sit/lay with Perseus on the couch or bed, whichever one he has decided he needs to appropriate. I was struck as I am so many times by how much I love him and how much it continues to grow for him and the breed. The thought just popped into my head that here is a being that has become my best friend,a love of my life, and who is a constant source of amazement, humor, and joy. Yet there was time when I feared the breed because of all the reasons so many do; media hype and distortion, the type of people who had them, blah blah, but ultimately it was because of ignorance of not having any actual firsthand knowledge and interaction with any of these dogs. What immediately followed was the thought that i wonder just how many other things we miss out on because of our fears and lack of knowledge. Because in my opinion I feel sorry for the people who have never experienced these amazing dogs and the love they bring.
