"Kim Wolf will explore the concept of breed in dogs, and whether it is helpful to animal welfare goals."
I wonder which answer she'll give this time? I'm guessing, because she's on the "no such breed because... DNA" show, her answer will be "no". And then she'll come on one our pages to assure us she doesn't mean it, not that way....

My favorite is how she uses her DS Cocker as an example of how there are no breed traits...

So I listened to her whole interview and took notes on it so I could report back to you all but of course I left my ipad at home today with my notes.
For starters I was surprised to hear that Kim did not grow up with dogs. She got her first dog at the age of 26. I believe she is only around 32 now.
Predominent focus on all dogs are individuals.
"General public does not care about breeds" "We need to take our breed lenses off"
She also stated that she would probably always have a pug. (So she must like something about that breed then)
Talked about Sarge being her first pit bull and how initially she believed all the hype about pit bulls and she made him sleep in the basement the first night she got him. She believed that it took a special type of owner to be a pit bull owner which now she does not believe to be true.
She did say she does not what breeds to go away.
I will have to post the rest of what wrote down when I get home tonight. If anyone else gets the chance to listen to it do so. I don't want to misrepresent anything she said so without looking at my notes that is all I can remember off hand.
