As for pit bulls, well, Torres says they aren't for everyone. They can be loyal family pets and highly adaptable to living situations. But they can be animal aggressive too. "It's the breed. People don't do their research."

Her rescue is about an hour away from me and sometimes she travels to local pet stores when they are having adoption days to educate people and talk to them.

The rescue I got my other dog at has a girl there that only fosters pit bulls and you have to meet her approval as well as a screening process to adopt any of their pits and I think Pit Bulls and Parolees came out during one of their adoption events to educate people.

I was working at another store that day, but one of the girls from my rescue that works with pit bulls a lot (she was Matilda's foster mom) drove over there to meet her
