Sorry if this is a silly question or a dumb question and hopefully this is the right part of the forum to ask.... But I've gone through the RPB website and a bunch of threads as well and was curious if someone could tell me more about RPB. I realize it's a non-profit education and breed advocacy group, but is RPB a rescue group, do they have events or something of that nature that requires volunteers, do they raise funds for other rescue groups, something else altogether?
I'm always looking for ways to be involved locally in NJ but it's difficult to find groups of folks who have a similar mindset with regards to training, rescue methods and sentiments, etc., and so far everything I've read here "fits" a lot of how I feel. Just wondering if there's more to learn about RPB!

Hi Megan Thanks for asking. RPB is mine and Michele's baby. Honestly, right now we are VERY inactive. I do sincerely hope that come this summer, things will pick up again. This is basic info on RPB, if you have any specific questions please feel free to ask - Who We Are - The Real Pit Bull, Inc (RPB) is a small, volunteer-driven nonprofit corporation located in central NJ. We focus on education of guardians, the public, shelters, etc, and advocacy work (in the form of fighting BSL, speaking on behalf of Pit Bulls, educating those who work with Pit Bulls, promoting rescue, and fighting abuse). RPB is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. - Mission Statement - The Real Pit Bull, Inc. (RPB) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the American Pit Bull Terrier. Our mission is to serve as a breed advocate; rescue dogs in need; and educate those who impact the lives of Pit Bulls. - Vision - RPB envisions a future in which the American Pit Bull Terrier is widely recognized as a companion animal and working dog partner; dog fighting is a thing of the past; dog laws focus on deed not breed; and all American Pit Bull Terriers have loving, responsible homes.
