While I was in Texas visiting my family this past weekend, Tim was in Connecticut visiting his family. Saxon loves Tim's 6 month old nephew and hung out near him every chance he got. Here he sits with Tim's dad while he feeds the baby. Too cute not to share!  |

That's cute, has he been around many babies? I know dogs are dogs, but without thinking about it, I end up trying to personify them by guessing what their thoughts are. Whether Saxon senses that babies are pretty much helpless so he should hang out with him just in case, or if he just thinks he smells good or looks interesting.

He hasn't been around many babies. He's met a lot of kids at the shop, but not too many babies. He met a little 18 month old girl after his CGC test. She was the trainer's daughter and she walked up to Saxon and he stood sideways next to her so she could pet his back and he licked her hands, it was really sweet. I think some dogs know, just like some dogs make great parents to puppies, but there are others that are just clueless and don't understand that they have to be gentle. That's why supervision is SOOO important.
