That's exactly what I would say, without doubt, that dog is definitely Pit Bull mix.
There is a volunteer with the rescue trying to say the dog is a Plott Hound mix and they don't see ANY Pit... Guess it's the same reason that Roxy was listed as a Plott Hound. This dog looks more Pittie than Roxy does, IMO.

LOL But he's brindle.... all brindle dogs are Plott Hound mixes. They get adopted faster that way.

Pit mix. Sure a lot of people have never even heard of a Plott Hound. I hadn't when we adopted Roxy. Breed didn't matter to us but the rescue didn't even ask if we had breed restrictions with our insurance or anything like that.... gave us a "Plott Hound mix" and when I got home and googled it, I was like, "Uhm.... that's not Roxy."

I'd say Pit Bull, as well. Here, if a brindle dog isn't labeled as a Pit Bull it's a Greyhound mix. Check out this "Greyhound Mix" that was at a local shelter...

The humane society often calls dogs that look like that plott hound mixes. Since I had no idea what a plott hound was before I went there, I just rolled with it, but yeah, it looks like a pit mix.

I guess this is why the average person does not believe Rocky to be of pit bull. I hear it all the time. Then I get the if he is pit bull what is he mixed with because he does not look anything like a pit bull. The shelter I adopted him from actually told me that he was a full bred Street Pit Bull. Then went on to say all the young dogs they had were Pit Bulls. After reading this thread I am curious to look at what they are labeling breeds now because the shelter has been taken over by a large pet rescue group.
