It's scary how fast is happens.
Never leave a teenager in charge of something that requires one to be bossy.... unless you have a bossy kid. I bought a sofa off of a friend of mine sine the freebie my daughter gave me managed to get broken during the move. I was supposed to have it moved yesterday on my day off. But my strong backs and truck didn't show up. So I enlisted another truck and strong backs to help today, leaving my daughter in charge. The guys couldn't get it through the porch door, so they gave up and left. My daughter and her bf tried and gave up because she's not strong enough. So they tarped it with an old tarp that Cleveland pee'd on last fall while I was raking up leaves. That stinkin' dog lifted his leg on the tarp, while on the sofa! It's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow.
The sofa I moved in here with was bigger. It is possible to get it through the door, you just have to utilize a few extra brain cells and geometry. I just can't do it myself! lol So frustrating having to depend on others. I don't like it!!
The earliest I can get someone over here tomorrow is 10am. Hopefully it's not wet, and hopefully Cleveland doesn't pee on it again. If so, then I may as well leave it for the trash haulers!

So much going on here lately! This is my last week at Doody. I've just lost all motivation for the job, and even going down to part time just made me want to leave more. Boss is so disappointed/sad/screwed now, but I gave proper notice twice, so he can't say I blindsided him (even though he called and did, which was super hurtful.) The winery was just blah. We got NO tips, so $10/hr with an hour drive each way just didn't cut it. I ended up at the Distillery about 2 miles from my front door. The vibe is amazing. I have a blast! I would visit so often that it only made sense to call and ask for a job. It's only open 2 days a week now, but more hopefully soon. They matched my pay, and yesterday alone we brought in $130 each in tips! Yes, each!! Needless to say, I like my new job a whoooole lot better. And clearly, the customers think I'm OK, too We don't ship from the store, though some of our retailers do. Check us out! www.BloomerySweetshine.comOh, and 10 days till I see my hubby!

I'm glad to hear you're liking the new job. When you do make it to Alaska, take lots of photos and share them. lol I'd love to go there someday.
I went to the shelter today to work with one of the return adoptions. As I was leaving, I noticed a familiar dog in a boarding kennel. It's one of the two sibling dogs that came in years ago... my dad has her sister. It was neat to see her, and note the differences between the dogs... My dad got the furrier of the two. lol

A few years ago a wisdom tooth grew in where I had a molar removed when I was like, 20 or so. The other day the sucker broke and left me with a dagger like tooth. The stabbing of the bottom of my tongue hurt like no other. So I called the oral surgeon and was able to get in this week. So first thing this morning I drove 75 miles to have the tooth pulled. Went to WalMart, then when I got home I went to work. I feel pretty good except for a headache, due to hunger. My banana and donut at 7 am wore off a long time ago. I have a feeling tomorrow is really going to suck. I did end up leaving work at 6. I'm just tired now that I'm fed! I was kind of scared to see how much this would cost. It was $261. Not sure what a standard dentist charges for extraction. I just know mine wouldn't do it because of bone involvement. (I was supposed to do this months ago after my root canal!) I'm an ace procrastinator.

It's about to go to hell at my house.
When she was a wee babe, Matilda figured out she could hook her little paws in the baby gate and monkey over it. She has now figured out there is an additional food source that the little hairy whiny things attached to sharp points eat out of. She can now clear the baby gate by 2 feet, so I stack 2 baby gates or shut the door when I am home and she is not crated.
She's now figured out the door knob opens the door. While this has not progressed to anything besides jumping up and down at the door knob, things could get hairy

The importance of reading labels...I bought some Muller FrutUp yogurt. Its creamy yogurt topped with fruit mousse. and it has tilapia in it. The yogurt I just ate...has tilapia in it. Not entirely gross out (I eat 'nasty bits' regularly) but yeah, the yogurt has tilapia. so vegetarians and people who get icked out by fish being in your yogurt better skip this, lol. seriously, tilapia.

I have a regular boycott going against yoplait for sticking gelatin in their yogurt instead of just straining it properly

The last couple of says have been so nice outside. The dogs enjoyed lazing around and rolling in the dirt. I had to bathe them this evening because they were filthy. (Also had to wash bedding) I swear both dogs lost a few pounds in dirt alone.

My animals appear to be plotting something. I thwarted the 3am attempt to barf on my new laptop and finally managed to find all my credit cards, but I wish I knew who peed in their cornflakes

There was a little male Pomeranian running around outside today. I didn't know this until my dogs were having a fit outside that I couldn't distract them from. That little sh!t is lucky my dogs really didn't want to make him chew toy. He's come right up to the fence and taunt my dogs. The dogs can fit their heads through the slats or whatever, and could easily have bitten the little thing. I finally had to go outside and chase it away. Later, the dogs went nuts at the window, so much so that before I could even reach them Cleveland redirected onto Winston, who reacted back. Thankfully, Cleveland listened to my command to go to his kennel. He backed off and I secured him in his crate until the little monster was gone. Later the dogs were outside for a potty break after I got back from the shelter, and the little monster was back again. I was going to try and catch him and call the police dept. to impound him. But the little thing was too fast. There was some sort of get together a block over. Lots of people and kids about, but no one said squat about this dog. He has a collar on, and part of a leash, so he belonged to someone over there! He was a gorgeous little fluffy dog, maybe about 5-8 lbs at most...and I seriously laughed at his daring and FU attitude when I tried to catch him.

We have viewed 12 apartments in the last 3 weeks. We have ONE potential option (but even then, they want someone to move in now-now and our lease isn't up until end of November).
What we have encountered - dead bugs in cabinets - live bugs in cabinets - cracked walls - Yes to dogs!! (oh, they mean 20lbs and under) - Yes to big dogs!! (oh, no pitbulls or pitbull mixes unless less than 25%) - Messed up apts that 'should be fixed up I think' - The lease isn't ready yet, but we need all payments now (and the broker fee is cash only) - That apt. I posted 5 minutes ago? Yeah, thats rented - Apartments that look NOTHING like the pictures - Available...oh wait, no the tenant changed their minds - We have a combined $1000 fee (credit check, application fee, fee per person, extra fee for dog, move in fee and move out fee) that has to be submitted with application and is non-refundable even if you are not approved - dead mice in cabinets - windows don't quiet fit into window frames - Only view is of the other apartments 4 feet from your windows (yes, all of the windows)
Excuse me, I am going to curl up in a corner with some hot wings, beer and ice cream. Hold my calls.

What about renting a house. Just outside where the trains etc are is that feasible?

The few houses we saw were waay out of our price range (and most you needed a car to get to the trains because they were a bit out of the way). Mind you, our max is $1500 and this is still a problem (to be fair, its mostly due to having a 65lb dog).
I seriously hate this city sometimes.
