Calling on all pet advocates and friends!!! HELP PLEASE!
So this is my personal story
I gave madi to this guy so she could have property to run on because she had such energy and I felt bad moving her to an apartment. Ron and I had an agreement that if she didn't work out for any reason with him and his family that he would return her to me back , this was in September. He then continued to ignore my calls and texts starting in December. He claimed to the officer that he didnt want her, yet why didn't he call me to come and take her? He surrendered madi to be euthanized. I told ron about her microchip info and how he needed to get it changed. He never got her microchip information changed so she is still in my name, my dog right? The officers name is Brad his # is 706 367 5480, he's with Jackson county animal control. I never received a call back like I was promised. He says its highly unlikely i can get her because shes marked as an aggressive dog and its too much of a liability. I get that, i do. Why would I have to adopt a dog that already has my name legally on her records? She's been abused by Ron from the sound of it, shes super loyal and wouldn't run from home. she apparently ran away over a month ago... Ron never bothered to tell me or put out a search for her. Sounds like to me that he just didn't care. If there's anything you can do I'd appreciate it, I want my bubba back in my arms or at least with someone of worth that gives nothing but unconditional love. She's currently at commerce vet @ 706 335 5111 she doesn't have much time, her 10 day quarantine is already up as of Tuesday.
I'm wanting to fight this. She's a good dog, it was a nip, not a maul. I'm calling again in the a.m. to the officer and Jackson county animal control. I'm going to attempt to even try a no kill shelter to see what they can recommend or help with.
