A while back a coworker of mine came to me with a problem he was having with his little white fluffy dog. It seems he was having a bit of a human aggression problem. The little dog would act like a guard dog, wanting to attack strangers coming near his territory.
At the time I asked him if this was something he would tolerate from a larger dog. He said no, probably not. But he cared a lot for the little dog so I gave him instructions on how to handle the little fluffy devil. I told him to put him in a separate room when anyone came to the home, and before opening the door. I told him to leash him before he opened the door to go outside, and to use a red flag on his leash when they went walking. (when walking, there was never an issue with other people. At this point he had bit two people, not severely, but it was enough.
I was in the store today and he came to talk to me. He had put his dog to sleep because he bit a stranger inside their home. He felt badly for their friend that was bit.
Small dogs don't get enough credit for being little b-tards.
