The case of Colorado dog, Chloe, triggered activities in Colorado such that Colorado's Dog Protection Act was recently passed into law. The police officer that shot Chloe is charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty. More and more frequently, families that have lost their canine family members is such incidents are winning law suits over the loss of their dogs.
