in this house, you get dressed up for holidays whether you like it or not, and in the summer you go in the pool whether you like it or not. with temps here in the high 90's i decided all the dogs were going to join the pool lol.... Honeys first dip in the pool. she did ok, i didnt want to push it because of her age, but will try a few more time as i think she likes it   rufus, this is his third time in the pool:  sadies first time:  casey the bf's lab that visits us on weekends and for vacation:  |

the pool is small lol. sadie loves it when she gets out and realizes she should be back in lol. sadie has been in probably 3-4 times now, same with the lab. rufus 3 times , honey today was her first.the lab she loves water in general and would die swimming in the pool if we let her. rufus and honey are both on the fence about the water lol... rufus is the only boy in the group lol.. he has his bitches keeping him company lol

It's a nice way to cool the dogs off, and keep them on their toes mentally trying new things.
I'm thinking about heading up to the river at Fort Randall with the dogs to see how they like it. It's a pretty big place with a few different swimming beaches. At home I know they dislike the sprinkler and water hose, and they only tolerate the bath. But maybe they'd like walking along the shore.

the dogs will walk in the rivers on the hikes (well i drag rufus in so he doesnt overheat lol) honey went on one hike she cant do more then 15 minutes walking but she went in the river on the one hike we went on . sadie is a lab in a gsd body she LOVES the water in rivers and ponds lol

I love the pix. I miss having a pool, I would always drag ALL my dogs in. Even my cat got in the pool (he was a weirdo and loved swimming LOL)

I had a cat that liked to go in the bath with me when I was a kid. I have never gotten Rocky in the pool. I am tempted to try it. Maybe this would get my husband to go in the pool if I tell him he can bring Rocky in. Rocky only fell in a friends in ground pool once and would have drown. He did not even attempt to swim. I cant believe Rufus in the pool. although I remember lately he had been more daring going into the water on hikes but so has Rocky. He will only go as far as he can feel the bottom.

rufus wont go in willingly lol. he will walk up the steps but thats it, i have to carry him in the pool

thanks! yep it belongs to the bf for his bike.. right now his jeep top is in it and some odds and ends lol.... the bike is in the garage
