Snow's before and after video

I pieced together several clips from videos I've taken of Snowboy since the end of July, until this last weekend.
Please excuse the crappy editing, not used to dealing with videos. I added a fun song, since the noise of the shelter was really freaking annoying.
I did spend a couple hours at the shelter today with the hopes of working with him to start learning hand signs.
But he's (and Sugar) are on a restricted diet right now due to the messy stools they had this weekend. So Purposeful training didn't happen, but I did integrate some of the ones I wanted to teach him while we interacted.
While we were in the office two guys came in, luckily I saw them approach, so I had a hold of Snow's collar. Once they reached the door and came in, he stated barking and trying to get to them, so I took him back to his kennel. His fur was ruffed up! Men aren't his favorite gender. He does fine with the few men who do come in to volunteer and work though.

Holy crap what a major difference!

Aside from the obvious wiggling and happy-to-greet behaviors after the neuter, there is a big difference in the way he holds his ears and the way his eyes look. And his face in general is just more relaxed, softer.

Thanks for posting that video. The reason I have a lot of footage of the dogs is so I can go back and look for signs and to learn to recognize it. I didn't know penis crowning could be a sign of stress, other than excitement. Cleveland will do it when he is wound up. I did have a shelter dog slip his collar outside Sat. The early am worker was outside talking to the lawn guys son (11yr or so). The worker is a HUGE guy. Like 6'5" 300lb with a huge deep voice. He held the dog while I went to go get a different collar. As I was changing it, the lawn guys son asked me what that was on his (the dog) stomach. I looked, and it was his penis, but it was crowned. I guess the boy hadn't seen one do that. I knew he was stressed buy other signs, knowing this helps.

In the video when Snow is laying down on the blue rug, he had just finished a treat, and was sticking his paws under the kennel for more and I'm trying to entice him to play. That might be why he was licking a that point. In the end footage no treats were given due to restricted diet.
