I had a gentleman in our community give me a big box of deer antlers for the dogs.
My question is what do I all need to do with them prior to giving them to my dogs so they are safe & sanitary (If that makes sence? lol ).

I just feed them as is. I usually cut them up so they're not enormous, but not small enough to be choking hazards, but I don't actually clean them or sanitize them with anything. I just wouldn't feed any that looked sketchy (like if it was moldy or something, although, I haven't ever seen that).

I think I remember seeing a recent Facebook post about somebody soaking them in beef broth after they've worn down a bit to revitalize them.

Ok Awesome!!!! I didnt know if there was anything I needed to do or if there was anything hazardous I should know about.
My dogs are going to be in heaven!!!!!!!!!
Right Maryellen????? And he said hell have more in a couple weeks and a couple other guys said theyd give me theres!!! Im soooo excited!

The only "problem" I have ever had with them is that my guys love them so much that they try to eat giant pieces and barf them up (and then re-eat them). But the barfing is because they ate pieces that were too big. You shouldn't have to worry about much else, but just keep it in mind if they eat large(r) chunks.
