Today has not been a good day for Indie River. I think I know what caused this, but I don't know why or what to do about it.
Kaiha came over after Aryn picked her up after school. So around 4pm. It's a bit stressful when she's here because puppy likes to lick, nip, play, jump etc. I've been teaching Kai to use a calm voice, say no, and push her down, or away from her. Because the 3 yr old response is to screech, cry, run, yell etc. Which makes puppy that much more insane. Crate, rotate, (no i didn't crate the toddler but it was tempting!) etc. I don't know which is worse, a whining dog or a whining toddler.
2 hours of this sucked. When I was in my room getting ready to go to Kai's christmas program, Indie came in jumped on the bed. She squatted and pee'd!!
I flipped the eff out. I'd had it. I didn't yell at the dog, but I was yelling.
She holds her business when crated, doesn't get up at night to go. But I am constantly on the watch for her random squats. Outside she'll go two or three times, come inside and 30 minutes later squat. (on her wee pad)
I think the pup had enough stress of being corrected, redirected, crated etc. I don't know why else she would just pee on the bed!

Matilda peed on the bed once or twice when I was potty training her. She wasn't corrected or redirected or anything, I just don't know if she hadn't figured out that was a sleeping place yet because she was still sleeping in the crate while I was potty training her.
We don't have any kids or plan to because I would have just crated the toddler
