I managed to get my fence secure enough that River (Indie) can't escape. Today she really tried though. She put her paws up and tried to get through the next level of gap. But she's too short to make it and by the time she's tall enough, she'll be too wide. But I fear she might be the one to go over it. I was planning to expand the fence further into the back yard this summer, and I think I'll see if I can add a coyote proof system to the top... I've seen where people take a cable and thread pvc pipe around the top of the fence. The paws hit that and it spins. Any training tips on keeping dogs from jumping over fence? I need to find a solid recall method for her. Right now, a squeak toy is the best thing I have, she's highly food motivated, and knows what 'treat' means, but it's not enough to get her to come to me. I think I'll invest on puzzle toys as well. What are some good ones that they don't grow bored of too quickly? This dog goes about 80% of the time. The other 20% is when she sleeps. lol This is the kind of fence I have:

All of my dogs have been too stupid to figure out they could easily jump the fence. Except Barley. He jumped the fence a couple times but he always came right back. I think good recall is the key thing. Karen Pryor has a great recall training method... pretty sure it's on the website.

Some dogs like Rocky, suddenly become deaf when they cross the boarder.
