I've noticed that when Winston and Cleveland bark at something outside, River will run to me, or run inside. Sometimes he hides around the corner and peeks at what the dogs might be barking at. She doesn't go investigate what the dogs are barking at, or join them in any way.
Inside when the dogs bark at something outside, she will go hide, or come find me. Today, someone was at the door, and the dogs started barking. I tried to get to the outside door with out the dogs getting out, but River got around me. She was spooked, and couldn't decide what she wanted to do. I couldn't get her to go back inside, she ran outside, then back inside the porch, back outside and finally just stayed on the porch and peered around me at the stranger at the door. When he left, we went inside and she was still spooked tail tucked and was going to try and hide. I talked to her in a playful manner and she shook it off.
She has been socialized, she's gone to the high school with Aryn during art class a few times and has done well with people coming over. She's going with me to visit my sister, and we'll be stopping by the petco for treats adn stuff.
I'm not surprised by this, but what can I do in the future to make sure it doesn't grow into an actual problem?

I took River with me on my visit to my sister and her new baby. River does have some fear issues and timidness. But we worked on some of it as it came up. She did very well with the other dogs, and had a blast playing with her male litter mate. Her mother, is a bitch. Didn't want her near her, growled and snipped at her. My dogs allow her to be rude and crazy. My sisters dogs (Chet is older at 10 or 11, Brody is 4) Didn't put up with the rudeness and she quickly respected their boundaries.
