Hello all! My name is Amanda and currently I am a stay at home mom to Caddie (6) and within the next few weeks we will be adding a little boy named Jack to the mix. My husband, Kenley and I got our 4 legged baby on January 1, 2014! I had been involved in pit bull rescue for 9 years but due to moving and life changes have been taking a break for the last year. My husband and I agreed that we needed to get a fur baby for our son to grow up with and to keep my daughter company but we were never expecting the little guy that we got. We were visiting my husband's boss when we were told about a litter of pit mix pups that lived next door. I went and checked them out and upon seeing the mom who was wrapped so tightly around a tree she had to be cut down... I knew I couldn't just turn and walk away. I spoke to the owner and found out the we're about 4 weeks old but had been eating dry food since he started "throwing a pile on the ground." The chubby loud one came up to me and wouldn't leave my feet alone. So I took him to show my husband and he immediately welcomed him to the family. They were no where near ready to leave but seeing the condition, i feel it was the best choice! He is a pit bull/ bull mastiff mix and is currently almost 7 weeks old. We named him Samson Gustav but call him Gus! He is absolutely the cutest, most playful, terrorizing little handful I have ever seen! I have rescued ALOT of dogs but he is the first puppy and WOW what a difference a couple of months make! Anyhow... I'm sure I will be asking ALOT of puppy advice and training tips! And BTW... Momma dog and pups are all safe now! Stay tuned for pictures!
