Do dogs get blood blisters like people do? I was wiping Chubby's paws this morning and noticed one paw came away a little bloody. So I checked the underside of his paw and there was a small area that was bleeding and very close to what looked like a blood blister. When I tried to touch it he whined and mouthed my hand (obvious sign it hurts him very much). Its tucked into the recessed area on the underside of his paw (like it doesn't touch the ground). He walks just fine, but if i try to touch the area he shows signs of pain. At first I was afraid it was his hemangiosarcoma, but when he gets those tumors, they don't cause him any pain (the vet and I have both touched those tumors and he didn't care). To me it looks just like a blood blister people get.
Anyone heard of this kind of thing?

Lebowski has had a couple. Our vet gave us a cream to treat them but now I can't remember what it was called.
