So I was all hopeful that Bear found his forever home with someone I know. When she expressed interest in him, I gave her the run down on him. He'd never been a pet, never lived inside a home, and needed training. At most he was 2 yrs old. I told her I would help her with training. I didn't sugar coat the dog, and he's really not bad. Just a 2 yr old puppy that is in great need of tlc. He is timid and submissive with men, but given time he'll trust them. The first 5 days went great. The dog wasn't left home alone, got along great with the other family dog. Did good with the kids, and no potty accidents. He liked to snuggle with her 3 yr old on the sofa, and slept with her at night. Her boyfriend works construction, and is more often away from home during the week than he is at home. He came home Saturday. Over the weekend the dog chewed 3 shoes and got into the trash a few times. Her boyfriend scolded him harshly for being on the bed, and the dog pee'd himself. So today she brought him back. And I'm effing pissed. She stopped by my work today and I ripped her a new ahole. She knew his issues with men. She knew he needs training. We discussed positive reinforcement. She knew everything about this dog that I could tell her. I'm in a major people suck mood.

Ugh Poor baby. It's infuriating when you tell people something very specifically about how the dog is and what to do and what not to do, and they wind up doing whatever they want anyway. Don't worry though, he's shown that he can live in a house, that he just needs the basics, so I'm sure his right family will come along.
