The shelter took possession of an impound today. He is a 2-3 yr old male pit mix. (intact)I hadn't had a chance to spend time with him, so I didn't know much other than he was very friendly. The family that found him came in to fill out adoption papers and to visit him. The family has 4 boys, ages 13 on down to 7. And what a handful! This dog was freaking amazing. He took everything in stride, was polite, relaxed, eager, playful. He enjoyed the kids, and did so well with them.
I dubbed him the shelter Rockstar today. I'm pretty sure the family will be approved, no reason not to approve them. I shared with them the Doggone Safe website, and offered to teach the boys one on one how to be around dogs. (they do have a dog at home that gets along with this dog)
Also, Snow has a potential home. A relative of a volunteer is looking at him. She has a terminally ill dog, and once it passes, she is interested in adopting. She met him today, and that went well. *fingers crossed*

He's now settling into that home. My daughter met him before he went to his family, and she fell in love with him. If I could have taken him I would have! lol Sometimes a dog just 'feels' right, and you know that they'll be an easy one to fall in love with.
