A couple of months ago I was contacted by a girl who needed help with her pit bull. You may remember the dog, Jade. One of the solutions she went with was to purchase an outdoor kennel to put her in when she had to work. it was dig proof, and she kept it locked. This of course didn't stop someone from poisoning the dog with antifreeze.
None of the neighboring dogs have been affected. The girl doesn't have any enemies, so the thought it that the dog was targeted due to her breed. The police don't have much to go on of course.
People suck. From now on, I'll be checking my yard before the dogs go out.
If Jade doesn't respond to this final round of whatever the vet is doing, then there is nothing else they can do.
And that really effing sucks.
So, in case you needed another reason not to keep your dog outside unattended... or needed a reminder.
