Mine was bittersweet......got to see my fam at my cousin's graduation party, along with my brother who recently moved to Albany and who I never get to see anymore. The party was really nice.
Sunday we did nothing but bum around the house. Monday was a small BBQ at my MIL's. Now it's back to work....
Life's been rough lately, this weekend just solidified it. I won't go into gory details but I need major changes, and soon. Not having a dog is weighing on me too.
I don't know, just rambling.

Sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time. I hope Mara does something extra cute today to cheer you up...(bring you a Pit Bull, perhaps!)
Work is super crazy lately. We are growing at such a rate that we need capital now to keep up with demand. My bosses are selling shares in the company to raise the funds. Even though I'm renovating the new house and will still need to renovate this place before we move, I'm going to invest. I think it's a smart move, even if it'll make us a bit strapped for awhile.
Other than being busy at work, everything else is fine. Dogs are doing well. Goats and donkey are also doing well. I've sort of quit making soap as my time is just stretched too thin. But I'm making good use of all the milk by making lots of caramel, smoothies, and sharing with the pups!

Glad to hear work is busy - busy is good, right? We're pretty busy at my job, too. We recently eliminated a position here, so I've picked up a lot of the slack. At least I know I'm really needed, which is a good thing.

As Mary knows. Hubby and I got up 5:30 to hit the road and beat the traffic to the beach. Got there about 8:30....11:30 we were heading back home already. Harley took two bad spills down the stairs..only two stairs but nonetheless she fell like a ton of bricks. She also peed and pooped pretty much as soon as we walked in the door as her way of saying I'm here people! The next three hours were spent with her going in a circle around the table. Needless to say it was too stressful for all of us. Sad cause she used to love the shore but with her age and health problems I think last summer was her last at the beach.  Allison- glad things are going well. Sounds like an exciting time to be investing. I am bummed you are not making soap! Now what am I going to do. Mare- you know I support you making changes. |

I spent friday to half of Sunday sick . As some of you know rufus has a mouth tumor. I've been sick over this and my IBS is back due to the stress.
Mary i am sorry you are going thru stuff too. And you too Michele.
On a good note my 3 ft tall birdhouse is up and birds already moved in

Not to bad here. Worked most of it but got to have a cook out with my parents on Monday evening.
We also ended up having to give Maxine an emergency bath. Somehow she broke into the trash bag that had some fish guts in it from a previous fishing trip. Mind you these remains were about four days old at this point.
Stinky could be smelt all through the house.

My long weekend was spent working at the shelter, then at my 'real' job. Too much excitement for me! I see Harley was up to no good, just like Rufus and Maxine. I got lucky and my #damndogs behaved. Mary, I wish I could send Snow to you. That way you could get your pit bull fix while you train him up and find him a great forever home.  |

We were really looking forward to a long, relaxing weekend. Our foster, Ray, was scheduled to go to his forever home Friday evening. Instead of relaxing it was just a continuation of a tough week.
Monday - Sunshine & Buster to the vet for checkups and vaccinations.
Tuesday - Dentist
Wednesday - Back to the vet for more tests for Sunshine and a visit to a hand surgeon for me
Thursday - Late afternoon Ray starts vomiting foam and slime every 10 minutes.
Friday - Vet trip for Ray
Saturday - Back to the vet for another test for Ray and meds for Sunshine (Cushings)
Sunday & Monday - Lots of TLC for Ray
This week is ending on a high note - Ray is going to his new home this evening and we already see improvement for Sunshine.

OMG he is just the cutest! BTW you were wrong I did get choked up...LOL....cause I was happy of course.
Thank you for fostering him...as always any dog you foster is lucky! Excited for him to start his new life at his new home! Keep us posted.
