Hello! I am rescuing a 2 month old female American Pitbull, she was in a home where they were neglected and she is underweight and does have a red rash on her belly. I have never owned a Pitbull before and want to make sure I give her the best care I can. She is absolutely beautiful, as soon as I saw her, her name had to be Marilyn for her one blue/white eye that is surrounded by a black spot. I was wondering if I could get some advice on best foods and such from pitbull parents I have heard that a diet of beef/poultry, brown rice and corn works well with them and a high fiber diet and low in carbs. Is there any recommendations on brands of food? I was even considering making her food..... Thanks for any and all advice Proud new mama!

Hi there! Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new baby! How exciting There is TONS of info in the Management/Care section about food (some sticky threads, too), so feel free to have a look around. And if you have any specific questions, just holler.
