My heart is so sad for Hector and his family. Hector and the rest of the dogs had such a sh!t start in life, and have had such a hard road to get where they are today... That it just doesn't seem fair that these dogs just can't die peacefully of old age. And here I am again crying over a dog I've never met.

Here's what his page posted yesterday: "I have erythrophagocytic histiocytic sarcoma. First I had a blood parasite (babesia) that attacks red blood cells, then I got autoimmune anemia that attacks RBCs, now I have a cancer that attacks RBCs. Please keep me in your hearts during my last days"

Did you see the post from today?
"I know my time to pass is drawing near. I had an appointment today for that to happen, but I told mom and dad to cancel it because today is for shredding toys and going for walks. The day to pass will come soon, but that day is not today."

Very sad news. It's never easy. I hope they take comfort in knowing when it is time that they did everything they could for him.
