You can just tell the reporter (and editors) were genuinely surprised to learn that people who own, and advocate for, pit bulls are just normal average pet owners who love their dogs. Especially in contrast to the bizarre extremist hatred of the DBO faction spamming the comments.

The local advocacy group, ColoRadogs put out a call for donations to run an ad in the Denver Post Aurora section, and got enough in about 3 hours to pay for a full-page, color ad,
