I just dont find this dog authentic. You can photos of APBTs from 1930 that look more like Jelly than this ADBA champ

"Rangey" definitely comes to mind. Since when did these skinny dogs dominate?
I'm of the group that believes the APBT should never have been made conformation competitors. The breed was never meant to be a show dog. It was a "form follows function" animal. And the best reason it should have died out long ago.

Yeah I'm not a fan of some of these rangey ADBA dogs, but I don't think this dog is bad looking at all. I still prefer and always have a slightly more bullish dog. Not overdone by anymeans, but built.

The thing that's bothering me is how straight his shoulders are! I have to get a better look on my laptop, photo isn't too clear on my phone.

and skinny. Taking pit weight a little too far. Another shot, not much better looking. He just doesn't seem right. Not much substance.

Just saw it's a bitch. Guess the joke's on us. why? It's still not a dog that looks anything like the photos we have of APBTs 100 years ago

All breeds evolve. Dogs bred for show eventually no longer look like their working counterparts from generations earlier. Not defending the practice, just pointing out the facts.

I'd much rather have the above evolution then the American Bully type evolution. It is kinda odd though, not sure how these Whippet like APBTS came about, like show usually exaggerates already existing traits. But this is just....where did this come from? Sent from my SM-G900V using proboards

where did the Whip-pits come from? I suppose those traits could come from careful selection in breeding Or from the only other possible way .......

No I mean like, what is the thought process behind making them look like this? Just musing.
I don't think they are mixed.....
