Does anyone use a dog seat belt/harness? I was thinking of getting one, I don't even own a car but Lucy often rides in friend's cars and jumps around a lot. Any suggestions?

I heard it's a really great idea if you don't have the crate/fence thing that blocks the dog from you (I don't know what it's called. lol), because if the car stops short or gets in an accident, the dog is going to be in danger, but you can be in serious danger if the dog comes flying toward you.

If someone could recommend a good seatbelt for dogs, that'd be great. I've tried one so far but it was AWFUL.

Im trying to find the one I got from Petsmart! I believe this is it. Very simple design. I hate to say it and really dont care for the store but its a great invention. You will need a dog harness with the ring in the back. One end is a loop that you slide the seatbelt thru and buckle the cars seatbelt and the other end is a metal clip that clips onto the harness. It works great! The dog can sit up, lay down and turn around all the while being safely attached to the seat. www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2751292Hope this helps! I've used it and I love it! However Meadow is a smaller dog about 55lbs.
