This is a progressive shelter with proactive adoption programs, TNR for feral cats, foster care, etc. They are following the suggestions in place from the "no-kill" community, and guess what? it doesn't give stats on animals euth'ed? You have to subtract. They aren't quite that blatant. you can only do it that way if they start from "0" each month, which I'm sure isn't the case. If they don't disclose actual euth's they're not being honest.

I worked at this shelter for a year. Sometimes we would euthanize 100 cats in a day. Even if they did not start at zero, which they do, the shelter only holds about 100 cats and 100 dogs. If you are really interested, I can contact my friend the assistant manager or even the operations director and get the exact numbers. But I have viewed the monthly reports personally in 2005-2006 and the numbers have remained pretty consistent.
