Subject: [new website for the benefit of all animal rescuers
My friends,
I just wanted to let you know that Karen and I have started a new website
devoted to everyone who is involved in Animal Rescue. It's called The
International Registry of Animal Rescuers (aka The Rescue Registry) and is
open to everyone who wishes to participate.
The mission of The Rescue Registry is to give everyone who is in Rescue a
common site to visit, whether it's to seek information or guidance, share an
experience that may answer another Rescuer's question, share their feelings
over a rescue that has a positive outcome (or, conversely, a negative
result), alert the community about a situation that involves stray or
homeless animals, the possibilities are pretty much unlimited.
After we lost our newborn kitten Micro and his siblings in July ago we
discussed the need for just such a site, so that we can become stronger and
better Rescuers. At that time we realized that, despite what we think we
know there is so much more to learn and so many others that we may be able
to exchange information with. We hope that this site will be just what we
all need.
There is no fee to become a member of The Rescue Registry, nor will we ever
ask you for money in any form. We also do not recognize limits on breeds or
species of animal. After all, a soul in need is a soul in need, no matter
what. Once again, the only purpose of the website is to serve as a common
ground for all Rescuers so that we may all become better at serving the poor
souls that need us the most.
We invite you to visit the site at www.freewebs. com/rescueregist ry/ and
please tell us what you think.
We are open to any and all suggestions and want to tailor the site to
fulfill your needs as Rescuers.
And if you know anyone who is in Rescue, we ask you to please pass along
this information to them.
Rescue knows no boundaries, just efforts.
Have a great day,
Paul & Karen Toulotte
