Oh my goodness! I'm sooooo glad that you were willing to take them in. I recently saw an old friend that has a pup that had a litter waaaaay too early. She fed them only because she was locked in a room with them. She had no interest in being a mommy. Just way too young. Anyway, I asked if I could take them, mother and pups, to get them somewhere where they could get proper treatment and she wouldn't let me. I can't stop thinking about them now though. Not sure what to do now.

Lola you need to be firm with people that are abusing animals. If they are not receiving proper care than it is neglect and abuse. The guy that had the 3 puppies had them starving in an old semi- trailer on the side of his tire business. I called the police, SPCA and The Humane Society and I kept going back to check on them. No one helped those puppies. I kept going back until he sold them to me. I cried, begged and told him he would burn in hell for what he did. If he hadn't given me the puppies, my next step was to call the local news channel. I have ZERO tolerance for animal abuse of any kind. I've been rescuing animals since I was 7 years old. My granny was a rescuer to. She helped me find homes for the ones i couldn't keep. You need to talk to your friend and try to reason with him/her to do the right thing and if that doesn't work, be FIRM and inform him/her of the animal cruelty laws of your state.

My babies are 5 months old in these pixs and weighed in at only 5 lbs. After I paid him for them and put them in my pickup, I told him "I would give them a good home" he said " do whatever you want with them you paid for them...it's all about the money. Then he looked at me and said " you're one of those animal lovers aren't you" I told him " I sure am, 2nd generation and I'm on a mission from God and you should go to hell for what you've done." My boyfriend drove us to the vet's office and on the way when I opened a bag of food they dove in head first and went at it like piraƱas. I know they shouldn't eat so much after being starved, but I didn't have the heart to take the food away. When they slowed down a little, I gave them raw hinds to chew on. The vet guessed their age by their teeth. I can't imagine the horror they went through for 5 months.
