Pure curiosity!
As I posted under another thread, Dixie was purchased from a BYB about 5 years ago. Jason received papers from the seller, and I was looking at them and just got curious about the bloodline specifically.
There are two pieces of paper, one being a buyer/seller contract and the other a CKC registration application. On the line that says "bloodline" the seller had written Jeep Eli. She also listed the names of the Dam and Sire but no CKC #s for them.
Anybody have information on the "Jeep Eli" bloodline?
Just curious for info. ;D

My very BASIC knowledge is that it's a "game" bloodline. Have you tried Googling info on it? Not that it's the be all end all of info on the line, but it might produce more info than I've got lol!

Those "papers" are meaningless, as CKC is not a legitimate registry. Anyone can make any claims or assertions about a dog's pedigree he wants in order to get those "papers". That dog may, or may not, be from Jeep lines. LOTS of moneygrubbing BYBers claim Jeep, Eli, etc lines because some people think those lines mean something. And yes, they are well known dog-fighting lines.
Lines don't mean much. Specific dogs in a pedigree mean something.
Even if the "papers" listed specific dogs (which is what REAL papers do) going back several generations, it still wouldn't mean those dogs actually ARE behind your dog

Oh I know the papers are meaningless, which is why we never even did the registration.
Thanks for the info!

yeah, and if all the dogs that byb'ers/dogfighter wannabe's claim have Eli and Jeep in their pedigree actually ARE descendants of either of those dogs, you'd have enough to build the Brooklyn Bridge.
lol

LOL No kidding. People claim 'bloodlines' when they see a specific dog generations back in a ped (which doesn't mean much)....and I think the rest of the time they just make things up!
