I'm already looking forward to this coming Feb. I am soooo in my element at WKC. ;D Last year was the first year I'd gone in AGES (used to go every year), and I didn't realize how much I missed it.

Loved it! You'll have to be sure to get those pic's up lol love anything that has to do with Westminster  We are actually hoping to make it to a Westminster show(not to watch but actually show!) I'm friends with a breeder that I got my Amstaff from, he has some of those Westminster greats in his ped! |

Well I've got two good breeder friends, but the one I got my amstaff from is from SOI Kennels, he's handled dogs for a well known breeder (Edelhaus Kennels). He's not been to Westminster himself but he's handled a few of her dogs in the AKC.

Quick ?...I'm fairly dumb re: show pups, but I did notice that all of the pups had their ears cropped. Is that preferred for show dogs..?
Some really nice dogs in there..insert thumbs up smiley here.. ;D

Actually, the AmStaff (AKC) standard reads, "Natural ears preferred". How cropped got to the popular status it is today is beyond me. The judges can only 'put up' what the breeders show them, though. I wish more judges would take a stand for natural ears, but the sad fact is, a lot of judges don't know our breed or the standard too well.

I see. I did read the UKC standard for bully's and thought I missed something re: ears being cropped. I prefer natural, but am not opposed to cropped.
