K, I got a camcorder for Christmas and I really love it. Thing is, it takes the little video tapes (8mm?) and I haven't a clue how to get them onto the computer.

Someone told me you can burn them from the camcorder with a DVR onto a cd then upload to the computer.

I read the book but haven't tried anything yet as I have been really busy...er...lazy.

Can someone in a nutshell explain the easiest way to get them from point A to point B without a ton of work?
