Nothing came up in a search so here I am!
I've heard some good results come through facebook for rescue organizations so I'm trying to make my page up to try and branch out on another social networking site.
Anyone else here on Facebook?

I'm on FB, but I would much more prefer Myspace personally.
BBR doesn't have a FB page, but we do have a Myspace page. If your rescue doesn't have a Myspace page yet, PLEASE get one...you would be surprised at all the rescue networking that is done on there.

I really mostly use facebook to keep in contact with people I know in real life. I do my animal, etc. networking on myspace.

I despise Facebook even though I have an account LOL I am lost with it, I have no idea how networking is supposed to happen on that site. It's all these widgets and gadgets and poking and superpoking and I don't get it at allllllll LOL It's funny, because I've found people either LOVE it or HATE it. I like Myspace OOOODLES more, it is much more straightforward and I've found it to be a great rescue networking site. That's JMHO  |

lol the apps are pretty dumb, I'm with you there Mary. I don't bother with that garbage.
I find just looking at people's MySpace pages gives me a headache though! Facebook seems to have a much cleaner interface.
Plus, pretty much everyone I know is on FB, not MS.

I prefer Facebook. I think I like it because it is more adult. I am friends with relatives, old classmates I don't really know anymore on facebook and it isn't some "read my bulletins about things you never cared to know about me" site. Although I used to do that on myspace, guilty as charged. Facebook to me is just cool cause I can see pictures of people how they look now, send them mail, see pictures they commented on of other people's (the only type of networking that site really has besides the "groups") without all the drama that myspace entails. I think myspace would be a better networking community if you had a rescue, but as far as just keeping in touch, I prefer Facebook. Oh, and I never bother with the apps on facebook or myspace, I find them annoying.
P.S. I have 10x more pictures on my facebook of Lucy than anything else. My family probably thinks I've gone insane!

I used to hate Facebook! I liked MySpace waaaay better, and I refused to use Facebook for a long while LOL. But now I kinda got the hang of it, and I love it!

It does take some getting used to that's for sure. But, I'm totally in agreement that FB is much CLEANER than Myspace. All those damn funky myspace profiles drive me insane. What I'm seeing with Facebook is that its geared to put you in touch with more local people as opposed to people all over the nation. This simple fact can help a lot I think with rescues that need more local exposure and support. Ya know?
And the applications on FB, I actually like better than the ones on myspace, although they all can get pretty annoying.
