I've contacted Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue to ask if they'd be able to take Presley into their program. I'm still waiting to hear from them, but in the mean time... I just had to show this beautiful lady off to you all! ;D She's a doll baby and is FULL of spunk and has a real zest for life. She's so smart! To give you a little background on Presley, she came into the shelter after squeezing her way through a cat door in her finders home because it was FREEZING outside and Presley wanted to get warm. The woman came home from work, saw her living room blinds torn up and thought someone had broken into her home. Imagine her shock when she stepped out of her car to approach the house slowly and saw this 40+ lb ball of cuteness staring back at her through her window!

Well, the boxer rescue (like most of us) is full and can't take Presley. The good news is... *drum roll please*......

Presley found her fur-ever family yesterday along with a GORGEOUS black lab/gsd mix named Grizzly! ;D The dogs get along wonderfully and they will both be very loved and spoiled fur-kids. Presley will have her very own bedroom and Grizz will be an indoor / outdoor dog with so I can't be anything less than ecstatic about that! ;D They've got 16 acres and much of it is fenced for them to run and play and be happy with so they'll never have to see the shelter life again. ;D The couple who adopted them just lost their lab/x after 13 years and after a month of talking and thinking it over, they decided that the best way to get past their grief was to give a home to 2 shelter dogs, so they came to see what we had and these 2 adopted them and each other.

Yay for Presley and Grizzly! We'll miss them but only in the very best way!
