Hey guys,
I just joined the Forum and wanted to drop in with a little background info. My wife and I live in Atlanta GA (in case anyone wants to meet up). I am a Web Consultant & Designer for www.innoshare.com. My Wife is a 4th grade teacher at a Title 1 (low income) school in Dekalb county.
About a year ago we had 2 dogs running around our house, Kat thought they were little boxers at first. One was all white with a brindle head and the other was brindle with a few white marks. Both of them ran into my neighbors garage while he was grilling steaks in his driveway. It was a chilly night and they were both really thin and sickly looking, probably hadn't eaten in a few days.
We tried to feed them steaks, but they would eat anything or drink anything. I took them to the vet the next day (my neighbor didn't want them) to see what was going on. Easy diagnosis of worms, so we dropper fed them & gave them meds. In about 2 weeks they were running around like great puppies.
I always wanted a tiger striped Brindle dog, so we decided to keep one of them and give the other away. I didn't want to separate the sisters so we offered her to friends. Another neighbor had just lost a dog and came over crying b/c she was upset about her loss and wanted another dog. We gave her the white one with brindle head for no charge. Both sisters now live across from each other and they get to play regularly.
We named her Akina and she is now a year old. She is goofy as hell and a whirlwind of energy. She really is a blast and we love her to death. Here are a few pics for you guys to check out.
