Okay, so this is an interesting girl... so sweet! I got a call from the girl at the shelter (where I used to work). She told me there's a really sweet PB that just came out of ISO and she's really hoping that we can help her. So I say we can evaluate her but I make no promises because well.. ya just never know right? So the next thing I know I get a call from the director begging me to eval this dog and 2 others. So Alicia and I head up to evaluate what we were told is a brindle pit bull and we get there and see this...    And this is one that the girl at the shelter sent me just after she called the other day.  Sooooo.... thoughts? When we first looked at her, we thought bulldog x... but now that we look at the pics a little better... she kinda looks like a badly put together staffy bull x of some sort but with what? Oh and can I just add that if I didn't have my "Princess Picky" Karma... this girl would have come home with me yesterday! Kat is IN LOVE!!  LOL! She did VERY well with her eval and oh man the kisses she gave were GREAT! LOL! |

What a cute little pudge face!! 2 things jumped at me right away - SBT & Bulldog. Her topline in one pic really looks Bulldoggy to me. 2 pix aren't loading for me right now, due to the crappy firewall here at the office, so when I see those I might have more, but that's what I got right now.

I see some possible English bulldog...general conformation, undershot jaw, shortness of neck, etc. I see tons more EBs than SBTs so I wonder about the probability. Course I also see a ton of grossly undersized and overly typey boxers around here.  |

Here's a few more   For a general idea on size...   I'm still hesitant to say boxer, simply because I've never seen one nearly as small as she is. She also doesn't exhibit any boxer behaviors. If you guys can imagine her without the underbite and the bobbed tail, does that make a difference in your perception of what breed/s she may be? In the very first pic Kat posted, if she didn't have that underbite, I could totally see SBT. Just me though |

I still say Bulldog and SBT and/or pocket PB. ;D She's got some real Bulldog body features.

The nose looks way to long for a boxer. Poor girl - they must have been using her as a breeding machine looking at her belly...

Mary, when you're saying "bulldog" what are you meaning? EB or AmBull? Sorry, that's probably a dumb question. I never use the term bulldog on its own because so many Joe Blows use that to describe anything "bully". I know AKC calls the EB just "bulldog" so i'm just wondering which one you mean.

Not to speak for Mary but "bulldog" is the term for what we consider an English bulldog, the Georgia bulldog, for reference. Bulldog is what the actual name for the breed is. |

Alright, that's what I thought. I knew AKC's name for the EB is Bulldog, but I wanted to make sure!

Taking laws of probability into account, I would say bulldog/pit bull. Both breeds are common enough that I could easily see that mating happening.
