I dunno why, but the name of this org kinda creeps me out. www.mydogmychoice.com/index.htmlAnyhoo, they are anti BSL and anti MSN, and that's cool and all, BUT once again, here's another group screaming about rights getting taken away without addressing the real issues and the people who are the ones threatening our rights to begin with - irresponsible people, unethical breeders, and animal abusers.

They oppose mandatory microchipping? They seem like yet another radical group.

A lot of their message is good, although they don't seem to be realistic. Yeah, if there are mandatory spay and neuter laws everywhere, no more dogs/cats will be born, but that is something that will NEVER happen. The reason behind mandatory spay/neuter laws is because there ARE so many homeless animals starving and being put to sleep because people don't bother to be responsible. Not because "animal rights activists" want to make dogs and cats reach extinction. I guess I could go on and on about what that website doesn't address, but really, it doesn't give much information at all.

Well I doubt mandatory spay neuter laws will be any more effective than annual rabies vaccine requirements or leash laws OR laws against dogfighting.
Dogs will continue to be bred and breed. It will affect responsible owners and reputable breeders and not much those folks who don't follow the rules and make the rest of us pay for it.
I don't agree with mandatory spay/neuter laws because they are as wrong as BSL in that they are tunnelvision type, let's skip around the true issues and just throw a blanket over everyone.
The microchipping statement was a bit over the top, if you ask me.
