So I don't think I posted Mia up here before specifically as needing a home, although some of you may remember seeing her pics and videos Anywho.... Mia is HOME! I'm so so so excited for her and what a fabulous owner she now has! Her new name is Vixen And here's her new "boyfriend", Ox And look at these PRETTY NAILS! She had such a terrible time before with nail trims. This is what 4 miles of exercise in Downtown Charleston will do for a dog A tired dog is a happy dog! Family photo I'm SO happy for this. April 8th would have been her YEAR anniversary in rescue. What a lucky girl

OMG y'all! I'm sure I don't have to tell you how extremely happy we are for Mrs. Mia. April would have made her one year anniversary with New Hope and what better gift could a dog ask for? I tell you... I always looked forward to going to our events so I could hang out with Mia... and I'm going to miss her like the dickens. BUT this is the kind of miss that is SO worth it! ;D Yay for Mia... and my gawd what a GREAT home she found. We always said that she was with us for so long because the right home hadn't come along yet. They were out there... and now she has them!

Will do I can't wait to see what she looks like in a couple of months. Ox is SO handsome and conditioned quite well and Mia/Vixen has the body to look just as good! We can't wait and are frankly THRILLED about how things have turned out for her! I was actually looking at some pictures of her when we first brought her in and her nails have NEVER been as short as they are now. The nails are a HUGE thing to me because she was a holy terror to work with. Sterling (that's new poppa's name) let's his dogs pull him around town. Obviously, he started out with Ox pulling him around on scooters. He was telling me today that he's broken 3 scooters in the past few months because they aren't built for his sort of use. But, just a couple of weeks ago, he got some new skates that are holding up well and the dogs are enjoying it. This is HUGE because at one of our first events, a guy on a skateboard scared the crap out of her and the *thumpthump* on the pavement scared her after that. She picked right up on the good things though and found it it wasn't so bad anymore. She's learned A LOT with him in the past month and things are going quite well The other thing I want to "brag" about is just the simple fact that he works with his dogs SO much that they are very well behaved and it's setting an awesome example for these dogs. I LOVE it!
