I see Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. Could have some pit bull, too. Her coat color is gorgeous! Does it have some brindle (or even merle???)?

I don't really see any Pit Bull in the body or face. My bully girl is very "labby" in the face (long muzzle) but her body is bully for sure.
Don't know about this one, but she's cute!

Chesapeake Bay Retriever would probably have more curly hair (although it is a mix, and they can look like anything). but you are definitely on the right track, with the head shape especially.

Definitely, Chessie. Not all Chessies have wavy coats. Possibly some Doberman in there...I see more of a sable type coat pattern. I wouldn't at all consider this dog a pit mix.

Having met this dog in person, there's not one ounce of pit bull here. PB can't even be considered as the predominant breed type. I mentioned to the woman today that we were thinking Chessie mix and her response: "The chessie people don't see any chessie in her either" so, honestly I've had one of those days where I really don't care what she chooses to call that dog as long as it's not a pit bull because she is not one. Not even close to one. And naturally, ALL the people that DON'T know the breed well are calling her a pit bull. As for her coat, it's fairly long. Its kinda retrieverish/shepherdish in length and density. It is NOT brindle, although in some areas it does give that striped appearance but it's very faint. More than anything, it looks like her color comes in waves and much of it is "peppered" in like you see in the pictures. Jess, it's funny you say Doberman. I really can't see it but Kat has seen/grew up with a dobie mix and says that she looks just like her. Naturally, Doberman isn't predominant enough though if there is. Another possibility Kat and I were discussing was some sort of Cattledog. Just...her mannerisms from what we saw suggested that...like a herding quality. Kat saw her while she was walking kinda "herding" people lol. Not in a bad way, just one of those mannerisms. She's a really lovely girl VERY attentive to her handler and so responsive

The color and coat texture actually reminded me of Malinois. I thought Mal, Chessie maybe (it's the coat color, but actually her structure/head shape doesn't remind me that much of one).

I think that she might be a kelpie mix. They can have markings very similar to a dobie and they are herding dogs.

Chessie is possible, maybe with some kind of shepherd. My friend and I have a joke that you can put any dog into one of three categories: lab mix, pittie mix, or shepherd mix. I think I would go with the shepherd for this dog.
