BBR's Newest Foster: Rollo

Introducing Rollo! Pulled from a shelter today after evaluation, a shelter where pit bulls crawl in but they don't crawl out. He was an owner surrender because he was too high energy (ie: puppy novelty wore off and owners didn't wanna put forth effort to properly raise a dog).

He's approximately 5 months old, 36 lbs and we were able to secure a foster for him. Unfortunately, there was also a 7 month old female our vol evaled and she exhibited some concerning behaviors, though we're working on nailing down a really skilled and experienced foster for her, though not sure if we'll be able to help her.

Anyway, here's Rollo fresh from the shelter with no looking back.

He's handsome for sure! Can't wait to see more pics of him here in a few weeks after he's settled in and doesn't have the "OMG!! What's happening now??" look on his face and in his eyes.

Rollo with the resident female pit bull. They really hit it off and she will be great at helping Rollo get that puppy etiquitte.





We have listed him as not available but accepting applications. So far all updates have been great though he's still very new to foster. Neuter set for April 30th, he should be ready to go to a new home in June.

Great news! Rollo has been adopted (finalized today) by a previous adopter. His new owner adopted a pit bull named Poppy last year and we've done an overnighter with them to ensure it's a good match.

Rollo's foster is very sad to see him leave, as is her female pitty who really bonded with Rollo. But flipside is that she is willing to foster for us again! Bonus!

WOW he is cute. I wish some of the shelters local to me would have allowed over nighters. Instead of having to bring them home and return them if does not work out. I sure learned a lesson. With a second dog best to go to reputable rescue who will make sure good match. Hope all goes well for this pupper
