Shock collars are horrible devices that should be banned from pet stores, shoddy training facilities, and as far as I am concern the devices should be removed from the planet.
Why? If you go through the shelters you will find dogs of all breeds victims of horrible uses of shock collars. Burnt skin, neurotic behavior, fearful or total aggressive behavior. We have seen the inappropiate use of shocking a dog to prevent aggression. that is nuts. Gangbanger wannabees shocking their sleeping pit puppy to make it mean, control freak humans that think it is a remote control, and trainers fast cure to inappropiate dog behavior.
Please never use a shock collar. Take time with your dog, go to training classes, have fun time, massage time, and love time. Your dog will thank you.

You mean to tell me that there are nutso's out there that shock their pittie puppies while they are sleeping??? What kind of moron does that?? OMGosh those poor puppies! I neer was for shock collars of any sort...I can't see using a negative device on a dog and expect a positive response..all it does is damage the dogs spirit emotionally no matter what breed he or she is~~

It is gross what certain people do to their dogs. Rescue, training, and shelter work is not for the weak.
