Okay y'all... here's a better pic of our Mr. Bones! We went back out today to eval and he and Mickey did beautifully. We met up with a woman who applied to adopt Juno, but Juno isn't the right fit for her home... but Mr. Bones here seems just perfect! She's agreed to foster him for us and if things work out she wants to adopt. Isn't he just GORGEOUS! ;D

So, after Bones has been in his foster home for a while, we received this email last week: So, we make arrangements to get him moved. IE: try to find another foster home but know he's coming to my house. He had a meeting with a potential adopter so I went ahead and picked him up to keep him with me. He left the shelter around 50lbs and probably weighs 55lbs. After a month and a half, he should have gained more weight in my opinion as he should weigh about 60-65lbs. I'm not happy. Not happy with the "chewing" thing, not happy that he still looks like he just came from the shelter. I know I can do better for him so I'll suffer with three dogs again lol! He was a star today at the meeting. We chose to meet up at Petsmart and let me tell you guys, if you have NOT gotten party collars or other silly things like Doggles, GET THEM! The overall perception of the public really seemed to change drastically with Bones wearing them. He was more approachable and there were LOTS of smiling faces I've only had him a few hours but I'm seeing some slight resource guarding behaviors so we'll be working on those. I'm also going to start him on the Bridge and Target training (SATS) and can't wait to see how he responds He's very food motivated and LOVES attention. He is ALL about meeting people and his greeting skills are IMPECCABLE. I'm SO proud of him for that. Starts with a wag and then usually a down and he rolls right over for a belly rub. No jumping. And kids! LOVES them immensely too When we took him in for his neuter on Tuesday, he got to meet Kat's son again and it was too funny to watch him sit in front of the stroller and then scoot his big ol' body up to Nick as close as he could to deliver kisses, etc. He's a lovely dog

Yeah, he's got a few scars from a scrap he was obviously in. He isn't DA, but he's definately a dog that wants to rule the roost with other dogs. K, since Alicia hasn't shared them yet... here are a few more pics we got after our pro photographer showed up to the scene. Man I just LOVE her work! ;D Yep... this is the larger version of what I've got over there in my avatar. Ain't he handsome! I just adore his cheesy grin! He's starting to get a little pooped out here and he's ready to leave... Don't ya LOVE how blue makes white dogs pop!? ;D

And another one Might have a few more coming today too! Anywho, Bones told me this morning why he's not gaining weight. Big boy has tape worms. FUN! So, I've got some meds for that that he'll get today and bye bye wormies and hello healthy boy!

He's still new to my home right now, but he's been very responsive to redirection. And amazingly enough, he hasn't destroyed his toys yet! I'm very much in awe lol! I think we're going to need to get him into the vet soon because his rear right leg seems "shorter" than his other leg. The more I interact with him and walk him around (trying like mad to get him to pee!) he has a very distinct walk. That leg goes straight with each step. Little "peg leg" type waltz to his step lol. Anywho, bedtime now to go lay in bed with my doggies Too bad I have two of my own, I'd make Bones mine
