Montgomery County Police also recovered handguns, shot guns, ammunition and controlled dangerous drugs at the home of Maurice Tyrone Collier, Jr. The home is in the 3900 block of Ilford Drive.
A rabbit suspected of being used for pit bull agility training, as well as syringes and veterinary pharmaceuticals, were found.
Authorities searched Collier's home after he was arrested last Wednesday for driving under the influence of alcohol. Police found two loaded handguns and a variety of drugs in his car.
Police say Collier, 29, was charged with numerous firearm, drug, and animal cruelty related charges to include: illegal possession of firearms, possession of controlled dangerous drugs, owning a dog with the intent to use it in a dog fight, and failure to provide the dogs with proper drink, and other charges. Collier is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center on $105,000 bond.
