I know there is a few people from Northern NJ on this forum so thought you guys may have an interest in an email I was Fwd this morning. I am not familiar with this shelter. I also do not personally know the person who original generated this email. Someone thought it could be the shelter I volunteer with and I guess they wanted to know that before donating.
Fwd email....
I have a friend that volunteers at this no-kill animal shelter in northern NJ and wanted to pass this on... you can help and it only costs a dollar and a click. I helped, will you?
Due to the economic downturn, START II, a no-kill shelter in northern NJ for homeless cats and dogs, has lost nearly $100,000 in funding from corporate supporters. We desperately need to find new funding sources in order to keep our doors open. We are asking 100,000 people to contribute $1 each to help us save the shelter and in turn save these and many other cats and dogs.
Your contribution can make the difference to homeless animals – help S.T.A.R.T. II give them a chance for a new life filled with love and happiness.
START II is a 501C organization, staffed 100 percent by volunteers. Your donation is tax deductible. Our website is www.STARTII.org.
Please mail your check, made payable to S.T.A.R.T. II to:

Cheryl's 2 cents - I know it's AWFUL that big companies are forfeiting their support for this shelter (while I bet still awarding big bonuses to themselves - SHAME ON THEM!!!!) Meanwhile, we- the middle class, who are being so pummeled by both the poor at the bottom and the wealthy at the top, are being asked yet again to doll out more $$$... but it's for the animals and it's not their fault. In this case I say yes.

That"s what was in the email. I Don't know who Cheryl is. If you guys know of this shelter and want to find out if they need help guess you can do it.
