This happened in Denver and right here in a small city in the Metro St. Louis area. Florissant. The animal control officers are very aggressive and will try to intimidate the dog owner. They went after one woman who adopted a shep/beagle mix from us. The idiots (animal control) decided if the dog come from Mutts, it had to be a pit bull. Sigh.....

Nothing personal animal control people on this forum but it is very frustrating when rescue has to deal with a vigilante...but then again animal control gets sick of us rescue folks too. :-)

Word to the wise, never release your animal to animal control unless they have a warrant. Do not allow them into your home, unless they have a warrant. Most animal control people are our friends but you have to be careful with the percent that are out for blood.
