The American Red Cross? They must have WAY too much money if they're buying sports sponsorships instead of spending it on aid projects and disaster relief. Time to start writing emails to these companies! I'm a member of AAA, so I will definitely be contacting them personally.

I bet they removed the sponsors due to fall out. The rest of the site works fine except for the sponsor page. Interesting.

Interesting, one would think Verizon would have learned their lesson last time when they used a pit bull to guard a phone in one of their commercials. Pit bull community went nuts and guess what.... commercial was removed.
Dunken Donuts Verizon Comcast American Red Cross (funny in a sick way...I hope they do get babesia) Who else should we write? Do we have a stock letter to send that is respectful but makes a point?

Please email him respectful requests to drop the Eagles as a sponsor. BE RESPECTFUL. It goes a lot further and it does not reduce us to thugs like Vick.
Verizon had a commercial regarding a pit guarding a phone and with requests to remove the commerical....Verizon did....so be nice but stern.

Verizon had a commercial regarding a pit guarding a phone and with requests to remove the commerical....Verizon did....so be nice but stern. Yes! Respectful but stern is the perfect way to put it. I've worked in issues advocacy for about 4 years now and the first thing I learned was that nobody with the power to do something about your issues will take you seriously if you come off like a crank or a fanatic. Yelling and anger may be great at certain types of protests, but when you're trying to change somebody's mind or influence policy you have to be mature, professional, and reasonable. I figured that the Eagles would yank that corporate sponsors list, so I got a screen grab yesterday. ;D I put it up on my blog, but I'll transpose the pictures into a list and post it on here.

Thanks Suzi! I saw it on my blog too. I appreciate it.
And you both are right about not getting bent out of shape when working with this sort of stuff. I just damages our credibility.
Thanks for the voices of reason here!
